And here we are....

The birth of the Carling Blog has finally become a reality!  I've always wanted to blog... I love reading blogs and getting a glimpse into the lives of others.  I'm still a newbie at this and I hope I will learn quickly!

So, why did I decide to start a blog.... simply because of the events that occurred after a "simple" trip to our local wholesale store.  Venturing with our three children (all ages 4 and under) to the store in and of itself can be challenging.  I do, however, make sure I have packed all of the "essentials" before leaving the house: snacks, snacks, and more snacks and sippy cups!  Anyway, we arrived home after shopping and of course had to wake two out of the three up from napping in the car.... parents out there I know what you are thinking:  BIG MISTAKE!  And you are correct.... we have crying children while we are trying to load all of the groceries into the house.  Meanwhile, I take on the task of trying to soothe the children while Shawn unloaded the car.  It was on the next to the last trip that I heard Shawn breath really loudly and mumble, "Figures".  I was almost afraid to ask... While trying to load the groceries into the pantry one of the spaghetti sauce bottles dropped... not too bad because it's plastic, RIGHT???  Unfortunately, and much to my surprise, the lid broke and spaghetti sauce went EVERYWHERE!  (Did you remember that we had made a trip to the local "wholesale" store.... so the sauce bottle was a little on the big side.) It was then, in a moment of desperation, that Shawn and I looked at each other and giggled.... what else to do???  It was that moment that I told him we needed to blog our life.... so here we are - SC Life!
